Winter/Spring 2023 In the Kitchen with Aimee Coaching Package
My 3-part kitchen-coaching package is a fun and informative way to learn how to make the best food choices at the supermarket and cook healthy meals! My goal is to empower you with certain skill sets: learn how to shop for the "right" types of foods and ingredients; understand the right way to prepare and cook food, and understand what a well-balanced meal should look like. I want you to have food at your disposal that is nutritionally dense that will nourish your body with the vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients needed to help you thrive and lay a foundation for a long, healthy life. The package consists of three 2-hour sessions.
SESSION 1: GOAL SETTING AND PANTRY MAKEOVER: If you’re looking to eat a healthier diet the first step should be cleaning up your pantry. On our first session, I will come to your home and discuss your goals and I will work with you to overhaul your pantry. We will sort through the unhealthy items and start building your clean collection by swapping out the old for healthier versions which will start your journey to better health. A pantry cleanse creates an empowering solid foundation to make your environment work for you.
SESSION 2: GROCERY SHOPPING AND/OR FARMER'S MARKET: It’s way easier to make a nutritious meal if your kitchen is already stocked with the right ingredients. We will head to the grocery store together and I will give you a good food education to help you navigate those aisles like a pro. I will share tips that will help optimize all your shopping trips from now on. It’s actually pretty easy to fill your cart with the best ingredients if you know what you’re looking for and where to find it. We will cover organic vs. conventional produce, grass-fed vs. corn-fed beef, pasture-raised vs. free-range chickens, commercial farming vs. small-scale, antibiotic and hormone-free, good fats vs. bad fats, oils, understanding the glycemic index of foods and sugar, complex vs. simple carbs, understanding food labels, eating locally, how to organize your weekly shopping and make-ahead cooking habits so you can maximize the number of home-cooked meals you eat and make.
SESSION 3: PRIVATE COOKING LESSON IN YOUR HOME: Through an in-home cooking lesson, you will learn how to cook a healthy meal in a fun and relaxing environment. The menu will be tailored to your taste and you will receive a detailed shopping list (most of the items we will have already bought in session 2) so you will have all the necessary groceries on hand. I can also bring difficult-to-find ingredients or any small piece of cooking equipment that you do not have. You will also receive a recipe packet for everything that we will make.
Cost of the package $900. Sessions can also be purchased a la carte for $300.
